① 'Vengo', Tony Gatlif, 2001 (movie screening)

This edition will have its film'n'food section: enjoying food while watching one of the greatest music movies ever made. Tony Gatlif's 'Vengo' honours gipsy music developed in the South of Spain. It tells the vendetta story between rivaling clans in Andalucia, on the edge of vengeance, betraying and breaking the circle of conflict through the only common passion: the love for music, flamenco.

In this movie the true charachter of flamenco music is shown in its purest sense: es un grito, un canto, un himno a la vida, al amor, al duelo, al precio de la sangre.

② Dance Workshop

Dance coach tonight is Hilda La Flaca, an experienced flamenco dancer well-known from the famous collective Esta Loco. She takes you along the roads flamenco and gypsy music has travelled; from Radjastan to Egypt and back from North-Africa to Spain. It will make you float and fly on the meditative chants from Khadjuraho, the sparkles from an Andalusian guitar, the ethno-fusion from Titi Robin and the solid flamenco urbano from Ojos de Brujo. The workshop will consist of a 1st "tips & tricks" part on (party)flamenco and a 2nd "coaching" part, in which Hilda Flaca will show you how to dance with flamenco moves on general party music.

This workshop is accessible for everybody having some rhythm feeling, and above all possessing a lot of love for music.

③ ION DIN ANINA

Our guest dj is formerly known as the one and only representative of the balkan and tropical bass scene in Spain, mixing all kinds of traditional rhythms with contemporary electronic beats into one Global Bass party track. He is the founding father of ‘Las Noches de Babushka’, the meeting place of tradition and modernity in hometown Barcelona.

The list of bands and dj’s he shared stages with gives an idea of his musical direction and reputation: SKIP&DIE, Bombino, Fanfare Ciocarlia, Systema Solar, Ojos de Brujo, Sergent Garcia, Chico Trujillo, ShazaLaKazoo, UPROOT ANDY, ShanteL, Robert Šoko etc.

④ Mnsr Zéro

Mnsr zér0 combines an expanded music collection from all quarters of our planet with traditional clubmix techniques. The sum of classical beatmatching and unconventional dancetunes results in a unique sound.

His sets are surprising blends of greasy balkan with a crazy gipsy wink, super tight electric cumbiabeats on eclectic afrolatinoriffs, hot Spanish nuevo flamenco melting on übercooled Scandinavian swinghip-hop, rumba Catalána versus African clubzouk, contagious ska infecting French jazz manouche, solid reggaetón devouring fragile tango, Arabian raps clashing with uptempo klezmer. His mixes always feature an exciting variety of rhythms and are a real relief for people addicted to dancing and searching for challenges beyond the simple beats of shallow radio hit music
